“The picture that many people have in their heads about cybersecurity breaches – a teenage hacker in their parent’s basement – is largely a thing of the past. Today’s cyber threats are much more organized, mature, and they’re constantly adapting. Nation-state sponsored organizations, Ransomware-as-a Service organizations, and insider threats are common attack vectors, and they’re not just targeting our U.S. government or large enterprises. According to some experts, 80%+ of ransomware attacks target companies with less than 1,000 employees (50%+ with less than 100 employees), so don’t think that your business is immune because it’s small. The best advice I can give any small-to-mid size business is this: Don’t try to go at it alone.”
