Frequently asked

Downloads & self-service questions.

Where do I find my printer's model number?
It is printed on the front of the machine and on the DEX service sticker applied at install. The sticker also carries the equipment ID you need when you submit a service request or a meter read.
DEX installed my machine — why am I downloading from the manufacturer?
Drivers are published and signed by the manufacturer, so the current version always comes from their library. DEX links you straight to the right one for each line we carry.
What is a remote support session?
When a DEXpert needs to see your screen to resolve something, they will give you a short code over the phone. Joining the session lets them connect. You never need a code unless a DEXpert is already helping you.
My model is not from one of these six manufacturers.
DEX services the OEM lines it carries — Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, HP, and Sharp. Contact your local branch to confirm coverage for anything else.
